How to choose the right carpet for you
Carpeting is the third largest investment the average home-owner makes, topped only by the home itself and car.

Purpose (Home, Garage, Rent, Commercial)
Each situation will have different requirements. In your own home you may choose a luxury cut pile or a texture depending on the mood you want to create. A garage requires a robust needle punch carpet that is glued to the floor and will stand up to cars, oil and water. A rental requires a carpet that will stand up to the rigours that it will be exposed to as well as being functional and reasonably priced.
Who (Who will be using it? Kids? Allergies?)
How many people live at the address? Do you want to reduce noise or a carpet that will have the ability to filter out airborne allergens and regulate humidity?
Quality (do you want to make a state or is it more functional?)
Softer colours will lighten up a room giving a feeling of space and softer tones will create a quieter mood.
Material & Look (what type of style and cut)
A textured carpet will add character to a room and a cut pile carpet will look soft and luxurious.
Colour (what environment will the carpet be in?)
Lighter colours will give a feeling of space and will lighten a dark room. Dark rich colours will make a room seem small and cosy while earthy or subdued tones will create a quieter mood.
Price
Carpet represents a significant investment in your home and everyone wants it to look attractive for many years. It is better to spend more money on quality carpet than to purchase a cheap carpet which will look great initially but isn’t likely to last. The cost of the installation and underlay is the same so it doesn’t make sense to skimp on the quality of the carpet.
